Bonnell's Dictionary of Three Word Phrases

A dictionary of three-word phrases in the King James Bible, linked for automatic searching in SwordSearcher.

Introduction:

This is a dictionary of three word phrases made by taking each word in the Bible (approximately 790,000) along with the next two words to make a phrase and then:

• Search the Bible for the phrase
• Count the occurrences
• Keep those phrases with more than one occurrence
• Find the keyword (first longest) in each phrase.
• Categorize each phrases by one keyword
• Activate each phrase to automatically search the Bible

Of the 386,000 resulting phrases, 86,317 occur more than once.  Each phrase is listed under only one of 5,613 keywords.  Many of these phrases produce interesting search results. All Bible words are included in the dictionary. Some may not have any 3 word phrases. In that case, just the 1st occurrence of the word is shown.

Some words may appear in phrases categorized under a longer keyword.  For example Aaron has an entry, but Aaron also appear in 27 other topics (like against, Amram, before, ...) .  You can find all the phrases containing a word by using the F3 key to search for the word in the dictionary.

The intention of this dictionary module is to find important concepts in the Bible and let the Bible speak for itself by searching and comparing Scripture.
